Our story
When we opened our doors over a decade ago, the fitness industry was booming but in a bad place. Gyms seemed to have become all about bright lights and music, machines and merchandise, posing and power shakes. And the worst thing about it was that members were taking second place. People joined, got bored or intimidated, left, and never went back. It wasn’t for us. So, there was only one thing to do: set about completely turning the fitness business model on its head.
Built on a foundation of personal training, we created an inclusive, customer-centric experience that focuses purely on results. It sounds simple, but to do that you need an unshakable vision, you need scientifically proven methods, you need world-class training and, above all, you need the right team.
Today, we have our original gym in Castledawson. We also have an online coaching for those who want to take part in the comfort of there home But whichever one you choose for your GMC journey, we promise you’ll get the same expert coaching, personal attention and community vibe to help you reach your goals.

Strength Training for beginners right to elite sports. Our team of coaches are specialists in Strength and Conditioning and Personal Training services having worked with those that just need to lose a little weight, right through to professional athletes. We give you a safe and and structured strength programme to help you get into shape and become better at the things that are important to you - from lifting your kids to playing your sport on a Saturday afternoon.

Our members are some of the best movers in Mid-Ulster! With all S&C coaching experience, we know the most effective ways to help you feel free of stiffness and pain and feel like you’re in your prime instead of having creaking achy joints and struggling to get out of bed in the morning! Every class consists of some quality movement work and we have a FREE movement assessment with each sign up.

We help you improve your fitness and conditioning whatever it is in life that you love - walking on the beach or up a mountain, playing with your child in the play park, or running into collisions on the rugby field! Whatever it is, we have got you covered with our fun sweaty conditioning at the end of each class. We get creative with these and we have amazing monthly challenges to keep you working hard and enjoying your training.
MEET THE TEAM…
COACH G
Coach G has a passion for helping people and a determination to be the best that has seen him reach a level few will ever achieve. Using the same drive and commitment that propelled him to work in professional sport with Netball NI and Ulster Rugby. He opened his first gym at 24, motivated 100s of clients to achieve their fitness goals and inspired numerous people to reach the fitness goals.
G’s proven interpersonal skills make the complex simple, fun and fulfilling for both the coach and client. His personal approach to education and development has led him to adopt a white-belt mentality. This hunger for improvement is just one of the reasons why he remains at the forefront of fitness industry today. This unique skill set has enabled G to build strong partnerships with great mentors and industry leaders. He knows all too well what coaching and operating at the highest-level entails, and remains the owner and head coach at GMC Performance.
COACH OWEN
Coach Owen has always had a strong interest in his own health and fitness for a long time, coming from a multitude of sporting backgrounds. Competing at a high level in a range of field-based sports, including soccer and GAA. Alongside an array of Sports Science knowledge through Degrees and Qualifications, Owen understands what it takes to achieve, perform and maintain your health and fitness goals.
After being introduced to the gym floor himself, Owen has went from client to coach with his own strength and physique journey, allowing him to develop a unique coaching method. Being able to understand how an individual is feeling and responding to training creates a relationship with his Clients that has allowed him to deliver massive results ranging from fat loss and muscle gain, to athletic development for athletes.
COACH MICHEAL
Coach Micheal has a passion for driving people to be the best they can be and help them create a strong mentality on the way. Coming from a martial arts background he brings intensity and resilience to the sessions to get the best out of everyone involved.
Micheal has been coaching for 3 years now and has really settled into coaching and provides a high quality service with his expertise in nutrition, with making weight many times in his fighting career he knows how to decrease body fat to make people the best version of themselves. Micheal is always willing to learn something new which is what helped him progress very quickly with coaching and become high level in the industry in a short space of time.
